Ford's going after Subaru?

I heard the rumors that the Stormtrak is going to be Ford's version of the Subaru Outback and my immediate reaction was that Ford has a tall task ahead of them. I may be a Ford fan but I know people that have Outbacks and they completely swear by them and won't drive anything else. I'll be very impressed if Ford can create something that gives the Outback a run for its money.
